Itinerary: Bali to Fores

Day 1
Embarkation at Benoa harbor, Bali.
The ship will leave around 9:00. After lunch we will visit the
traditional Bali Aga village of Tenganan in East Bali. Over dinner we
will cross the famous "Wallace Line" on the way to Lombok.
Day 2
We will anchor off the East Lombok coast and visit a traditional
pottery village. After a tasty lunch with Sasak culinary specialties we
will proceed to another small village where the inhabitants are going
to perform traditional dances for us.
Day 3
We will set foot on to the little known uninhabited island of Satonda
with its stunning crater lake and beautiful coral gardens.
Day 4
In Bima on the island of Sumbawa we visit the local market and a
village up in the hills for a performance of local dances.
Day 5
Very early in the morning we will anchor off Komodo Island for the
first of two days in the Komodo National Park. We will go ashore at Loh
Liang for an encounter with the fierce Komodo dragons. In the afternoon
we go to one of the beaches nearby for some spectacular snorkeling.
Day 6
We will go ashore at Loh Buaya on Rinca Island for another trek through
the Park. In the evening our crew will prepare a romantic beach
barbecue under the stars.
Day 7
Last opportunity for an early morning swim.
We will dock in the harbor of Labuhanbajo in West Flores in the course
of the morning and around noon we fly back to Bali.
Itinerary: Flores to Bali
Day 1
Embarkation in Labuhanbajo on the Western tip of Flores. After a few
hours of sailing we will make our first stop at the small island of
Mesa where we visit a settlement of the Baju, the ‘Sea Gypsies’ who are
indigenous to the area of the Lintas Strait and the Komodo National
Park.

2
We will go ashore at Loh Buaya on Rinca Island for a first encounter
with the fierce Komodo dragons. In the afternoon we go to one of the
beaches nearby for some spectacular snorkeling and in the evening our
crew will prepare a romantic beach barbecue under the stars.
Day 3
We will go ashore at Loh Liang on Komodo Island for another trek
through the National Park.
Day 4
You
will wake up in the little harbor of Bima on the island of Sumbawa
where we will visit the local market and a village in the nearby
highlands where the inhabitants will demonstrate some traditional
dances.
Day 5
We set foot on the little known uninhabited island of Satonda with its

Day 6
We will anchor off the East Lombok coast and
visit a traditional pottery village. After a tasty lunch with Sasak
culinary specialties we will visit another small village where the
villagers are going to perform traditional dances for us.
Day 7
Our last morning aboard the Ombak Putih will be spent on a deserted
beach at Gili Nanggu (just off the coast of South Lombok). We will
leave around lunch time for the five hour sail back to Bali.
Ombak Putih Boat
The Ombak Putih was constructed in 1996/7. She is built and rigged as a traditional Buginese schooner but with all modern
conveniences to make sure you are safe and comfortable.
On deck, our spacious lounge overlooks the sea. You can relax it a
large table outside or in teak deck chairs under the canopy of our sun
deck.
Below deck you can find privacy in a spacious air-conditioned cabin
with private bathroom. Our crew of 16 will take care of our luxurious
onboard services.

Ombak Putih's main deck is dominated by the 25m tall
mainmast and a large deck table where you can have dinner under the
stars. On top of the deck house at the aft side of the boat, a spacious
sun deck (with canopy for some shade) overlooks the sea. Here you can
read in a comfortable deck chair or dream away on one of our matresses.
Your accommodation is below deck, where you will find twelve cabins,
four with double beds and eight with bunk beds. Unlike typical ship
accommodation, your cabin provides ample space to store your stuff and
still move about with ease. All cabins are airconditioned and have private bathrooms. Obviously, we provide all hotel amenities
you may require.
